Concept: Humanization

"Humanize yourself or business" is a term often used here at the Noble Studios headquarters in Carson City. As communications help open the market to more business opportunities, it also creates the situation for more competition. It is more important than ever to appeal to your market with the right balance of systems and service. Poor Jack has evolved into a telephone systems and Internet junky when we say, "all automation and no relation makes Jack a bored boy." Some great examples of humanization in marketing come from Citibank's latest slogans "Press 0 to speak to a live person - anytime," "Let the thanking begin," and "Feel the appreciation." These approaches acknowledge difficulties people have with the banking telephone systems and lack of customer appreciation and are letting them know that there is a relationship with Citibank. Although they haven't removed the automated telephone system (they just given access around it) and who knows if their customer service is truly that much different from the competition (but their marketing says it does), new trends in marketing may prove this to be a powerful tactic for the future.

Recipe: Remembering Names

One of the most effective and simple marketing tools that a business professional can use in any field, is remembering names. Sure, most individuals that you may meet in a professional atmosphere will have business cards available, but being able to remember their name at the next meeting/conference/get-together, shows integrity. Here are a few tips some of our Noble Studios members use to remember names:

"To avoid the total blankness from the moment you shake hands to when you say your name that limits your brain from hearing the other’s name, try repeating their name immediately after the introduction. "

"Come up with a catchy rhyme that is as individual as the person you meet. If you are extra savvy at rhyming, try to include something about their appearance in the beginning of your verse. Ex: The brown hair of Mr. So-and-so, makes me think of cocoa. (It doesn’t have to be Shakespeare, just something you will retain.)"

"Sometimes, new people may remind you of an old friend, someone famous, etc. If you acknowledge this immediately after introductions, try to combine both names into a sentence or match them with someone you know who has the same name."

"Try using their names to form a sentence. The sillier the sentence the easier it is to remember. Ex: Jon Wycoff. Why cough when you’re in the john."

Project: Special Operations Center

Special Operations Center (SOC) recently launched a company SharePoint intranet designed by Noble Studios. Now personnel have access to current company information and documentation at the click of a button. Each department was custom designed to fit the supported personnel. With an administrative login, data can now be incorporated strategically. Design and navigation efficiency were imperative in achieving the overall project goals. Now SOC employees from each department have a resourceful and organized way of communicating.

Office Space

Noble Studios survived its first company retreat to Amsterdam, Netherlands. Company retreats are a great way to not only take that much needed vacation, but to also establish relationships with employees outside of the office setting. With a packed schedule of tourist attractions, the seven day trip seemed over in just a blink of an eye. “WOW.”
